An overseas Filipino worker in Taiwan shared the story behind the meaningful tattoo on his arm.

In a Facebook post, Bojo Aquino, a factory worker in Taiwan, said the tattoo on his arm was the last grocery list of his youngest brother, JR, who passed away last June.

Aquino, the eldest son in the family, said he treated his youngest brother as his eldest son.

"Kaya lahat po ng mga gusto niya, lahat ng pabili at mga kailangan niya, binibigay ko po lahat sa kaniya. Ini-spoil ko po siya para sa mga paglalambing niya sa akin (That's why I gave him everything he wanted, everything he wanted me to buy and everything he needed. I spoiled him for the affection he had for me," said Aquino in an interview with Mornings with GMA Regional TV.

Aquino also recalled how his brother never failed to message him every payday.

"Simula nung nandito ako sa Taiwan, every payday po talaga is siya 'yung unang nagcha-chat sa akin kung kailan po ako magpapadala, kung kailan 'yung araw ng padala ko. Tapos maglilista na po 'yan ng sarili niyang groceries para ipasabay sa mother ko. Every month po consistent po 'yun (Since I was here in Taiwan, every payday, he would be the first one to chat with me about when I would send, when would my package arrive. Then he would list down his own grocery list to go along with my mother's. It's consistent every month)," he shared.

Aquino said his brother was diagnosed with kidney stones last year. Although it was said to have been treated in the following months, Aquino said JR's body became too weak to move.

In the first week of June, he said they noticed that his brother seemed to be always preoccupied so they rushed him to the hospital.

They found out that he had pneumonia.

"Hindi po siya naagapan agad tapos tinransfer namin siya sa ibang hospital. Doon na rin siya parang lumala. So we decided na iuwi na lang din siya, nilaban namin pero siguro hanggang du'n na lang talaga 'yung buhay niya, kaya tinanggap na rin po namin (It was not prevented immediately and then we transferred him to another hospital. There he seemed to get worse. So we decided to just take him home. We fought with him too, but maybe that's the end of his life, so we accepted it)," Aquino told GMA.

Aquino promised himself that his next tattoo would be the most memorable one.

So, he turned the last grocery list of his late little brother into a meaningful tattoo.

"JR, kung nasaan ka man ngayon, sana masaya ka na. Masaya na rin kami para sa'yo kasi wala ka nang paghihirap na dinaranas. Mahal na mahal kita, sobrang miss ka na ng kuya (JR, wherever you are now, I hope you are happy. We are also happy for you because you are no longer suffering. I love you so much, I miss you so much)," Aquino said in his message to his brother.
