ILOILO CITY – Police arrested 4,787 wanted persons in Western Visayas from January to October.

“These accomplishments speak of the dedication and commitment of all unit commanders in the region to account for wanted persons,” said Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco, director of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.
PRO-6 data said 766 criminals classified as most wanted persons (MWPs) and 4,021 other wanted persons (OWPs) were caught in nine months.
Police nabbed 275 MWPs in Negros Occidental, 144 in Iloilo; 94 in Bacolod City; 68 in Capiz; 65 in Antique; 54 in Aklan; 40 in Iloilo City, and seven in Guimaras.
Two-thousand, one-hundred forty-five OWPs were arrested in Negros Occidental, 618 in Iloilo; 345 in Bacolod City; 181 in Aklan; 175 in Antique; 151 in Iloilo City, and 68 in Guimaras.
Units under the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-6 nabbed 18 MWPs and 157 OWPs. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB)-6 also arrested an MWP.
