Tolentino to endorse LEDAC ’23 budget

Senator Francis "Tol" Tolentino said his Senate finance subcommittee L would submit to the proposed P3.08 million proposed budget of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) to the Senate plenary for deliberation when the Senate resumes session next month.

Tolentino made this decision after presiding over the Senate finance sub-committee L’s public hearing on LEDAC’s budget ahead of the public hearing on the proposed 2023 budget of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).

He asked the LEDAC to submit to the Senate its plans in relation to the 19 priority legislative measures of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his administration's 8-point economic agenda.

Tolentino also inquired about the council's legislative propositions with regard to the Supreme Court's ruling increasing the share of local government units in the national government's tax collections.

The Senate and the House of Representatives are at present on a month-long recess.
