House 'small committee' convenes, 2023 GAB amendments received--Libanan
The House of Representatives' "small committee" has begun to move in connection with its task of incorporating congressmen’s proposed amendments to the just-approved P5.268-trillion General Appropriations Bill (GAB) for 2023.

This was confirmed by Minority Leader and 4Ps Party-list Rep Nonoy Libanan in an interview. Libanan is a member of the four-member small committee.
"Inauthorize lang ng small committee si Zaldy Co, chairman ng Appro na tanggapin yung amendments (Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co has been authorized to accept the amendments)," Libanan said.
He confirmed that the small committee already convened Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Libanan, Co, Appropriations Committee Senior Vice Chairperson Stella Quimbo (Marikina City 2nd district), and Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe (Zamboanga City 2nd district) comprise the small committee.
The small but very important panel was formed by House Speaker Martin Romualdez last Sept. 28, just minutes after the 2023 GAB or proposed national budget was approved in plenary on third and final reading.
"Yung amendments, kumbaga pumasok ngayon, from day one (It means that the amendments from day one have been received)," the veteran solon said, further describing Co's action.
Asked for details about the proposed amendments--which are composed of budget realignments--Libanan replied, "Mga (These are) institutional amendments."
"Natanggap na nila yun, hindi natin alam kung ano yung ipapasok nila (They've received it, we don't know what they incorporate in the budget)," he added.
