Members of the Pasay City Police recently arrested the man who allegedly robbed the legal staff of Sen. Robin Padilla last August.
Col. Byron Tabernila, city police chief, said Kenneth Guzman Casas, was tagged in the robbery-snatching incident that victimized Atty. Asmenah Barambangan on Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City.
Tabernila said Casas was arrested by operatives of the Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) after a concerned citizen informed the police that he was again seen roaming around Macapagal Boulevard.
He said members of the SIDMS immediately proceeded to Macapagal Boulevard, but the suspect was no longer in the place.
On Oct. 27, the SIDMS team was able to serve the warrant of arrest against Casas in his home in Pasay City.
The warrant was issued by Judge Barry Boy Ariola of Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 52 for robbery (snatching).
The police official said Casas’ live-in partner and his family voluntary surrendered him to the arresting policemen.
