The local government of Malabon City set up on Monday, Oct. 31, medical stations in four cemeteries in the city for the observance of Undas 2022.
"Sa ating paggunita ng UNDAS 2022, prayoridad natin ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa, kaya naman maglalagay ang City Health Department ng mga medical stations (In commemoration of UNDAS 2022, the safety of everyone is our priority, which is why the City Health Department will install medical stations)," the city government said in a Facebook post.
The medical stations were set up in four cemeteries in the city -- San Bartolome, Our Lady of Lourdes, Everlasting Peace, and Tugatog Cemeteries.
The Red Cross Malabon Chapter deployed an ambulance to the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval reminded the public that Tugatog Cemetery remains closed, but the residents are allowed to light candles and put flowers in front of its main entrance.
"Nakahanda na po ang ating pulisya at maging ang kawani ng Malabon upang siguruhin ang maayos na pagtitirik ng kandila at pag-aalay ng bulaklak sa harap ng Tugatog Cemetery para sa ating mga yumaong mahal sa buhay. Paalala lang po na ang sementeryo ay mananatiling sarado (Our police and even Malabon staff are ready to ensure the orderly lighting of candles and flower offerings in front of the Tugatog Cemetery for our departed loved ones. We are reminding everyone that the cemetery will remain closed)," the mayor said in a Facebook post.
The Malabon Public Safety and Transportation Management (PSTMO), Mayor's Complaint and Action Team (MCAT), and Philippine National Police (PNP) will be monitoring the cemeteries to ensure crowd control, traffic, and security in the said areas.
The Malabon Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) also readied five ambulances in case of emergencies.
