K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT) flew back to South Korea on Oct. 30 after finishing their two-day concert in Manila.

However, due to severe tropical storm “Paeng” in the Philippines, they failed to immediately return to South Korea as flights were cancelled.

On Oct. 29, it was announced through TXT’s Twitter account that Yeonjun would be absent from the Korean TV music show “Inkigayo” for its Oct. 30 broadcast due to the bad weather in the Philippines.

“Due to passenger flight issues caused by bad weather in the Philippines, Yeonjun will be absent from the ‘Inkigayo’ broadcast, which he was scheduled to appear on October 30. We ask for your understanding,” according to the announcement.

Members of Tomorrow X Together arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 on the afternoon of Oct. 30 and were met by fans and the media.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced on Oct. 30 that “flight operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is expected to return to normal as Severe Tropical Storm Paeng exits the Philippines today.”

“The Manila International Airport Authority yesterday closed its runway facilities beginning 4PM due to gustiness of the wind hovering around the aerodrome posing great risks to flight safety. Several local and international flights were disrupted as airline operators employed planned cancellations to save passengers from the trouble of getting to NAIA with streets in Metro Manila and nearby provinces being under flood water,” it said.

It added, “A total of 295 flights out of the 618 scheduled flights for October 29 were cancelled affecting a total of 43,151 passengers as a result.”

Tomorrow X Together successfully wrapped up their first world tour “Act: Lovesick” in Manila.

Manila was the last leg of the tour, which had 19 concerts in 13 cities.

“Most importantly, words cannot express how grateful we are as ‘Act: Lovesick’ would not have come true without our MOA’s love and support. Unfortunately, ‘Act: Lovesick’ has ended, but Tomorrow X Together will continue to bring great music and performance, so please look forward to our next chapter,” they said in Manila.
