CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is working round-the-clock to clear roads affected by severe tropical storm “Paeng” in Region 4-A or the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon area.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto Bernado ordered DPWH regional director Jovel Mendoza to facilitate and mobilize manpower and land equipment in the clearing operation.
The DPWH installed warning devices on affected roads and bridges in the region and towed a truck stranded in Bay, Laguna.
The agency also transported stranded people at the Kawit- Noveleta Diversion Road in Kawit, Cavite, Mendoza reported.
The DPWH Region 4-A has ordered District Engineering Offices to assist motorists and commuters this All Saints’ Day.
