Friends paid tribute to Danny on social media.
"Just feeling the loss of an old faithful friend who knew what love is although sometimes it just doesn't show. My friend lives on in his music," wrote actor-singer APO member Buboy Garovillo on social media. The third member of the group is Jim Paredes.
Lawyer-vlogger Trixie Angeles-Cruz, who served as Press Secretary, also honored the musician. On Facebook, she wrote:
"I wish we had more time. But thank you for what you shared with me.
"Thank you for the laughing days. Thank you for the extraordinary lunches. Thank you for always asking about my health even when yours had become precarious. Thank you for the vitamins. Thank you for giving me a preview of some of your songs. Thank you for a ringside seat into the amphitheater of your thoughts.
"Thank you for the honor and privilege of being called your friend," the lawyer wrote.
