Ara Mina recalls scary moments during 'Katok' shooting

Actress Ara Mina is back in a horror-thriller movie entitled "Katok" now streaming on AQ Prime.
At the media conference of her latest movie held at the AQ Prime Office on Roces Avenue in Quezon City recently, Ara recalled some eerie moments while shooting in an old house in Bulacan, Bulacan.
"May eksena ako at yung frame bumagsak.
So kailangan talaga na i-cleanse," she said.
Ara, 43, also said that she got scared about the presence of bats in the old house.
Asked about a scene in the movie that challenged her, Ara said: "May isang eksena na medyo hindi ako naging comfortable. Yung pumasok ako sa loob ng closet. Medyo natakot ako roon," she added.
Ara, who plays the role of a caregiver in the movie, said that she's happy to work with director Joven Tan for the first time.
Sobrang gaan niya katrabaho at napakabilis. He's also an editor kaya alam na niya yung mga scenes na kukunan.
Ara added: "I would love to work with him again kapag may magandang project.

Joven said however that he doesn't believe in ghosts or spirits.
Co-stars Ynigo Delen and Joyce Javier said they don't have eerie experiences on the set of the movie. Also starring in the horror-psychological flick are award-winning actor Soliman Cruz and Mia Aquino.
But what Ara loved about the movie was the cameo appearance of her husband Dave Almarinez, President and CEO of the Philippine International Trading Corporation. "Gusto niya akong maging Horror Queen."
Ara and Dave tied the knot in Baguio City on June 30, 2021.
Now that she's married, Ara said that she became choosy with movie projects as she focused on raising her family and business.
While she has done so many movies and TV series in the past, Ara said that she still has a dream project: to do a romantic-comedy film.
"Wala pa talaga akong rom-com movie. If ever na papipiliin ako ng leading man, siguro si Piolo Pascual. Kasi matagal na kaming friends," she said.
