Quezon ports back to normal operation as TS Paeng leaves PAR

LUCENA CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) station in Southern Quezon has allowed the resumption of sea travel from the different ports in Quezon as things went back to normal after Typhoon Paeng’s onslaught.

The go-signal was contained in the sea travel advisory number 13 issued at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, by Janus Robinson Sabas, the coast guard commander in Southern Quezon.

The advisory stated that all trips from Port of Dalahican, Port of Mauban, Port of Atimonan, Port of Alabat, Port of San Andres, Port of Cotta, Port of Gumaca and Port of Guinayangan en route to their destination can now resume their normal operation.

The coast guard advisory was based on the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PAGASA) Tropical Cyclone Bulletin no. 25 on Tropical Storm ‘Paeng’ also issued at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30, said bulletin stated that the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) in Southern Quezon has been lifted.
