CAGAYAN – At least 32 bridges in Cagayan Valley region were still impassable as of Sunday evening, Oct. 30, due to massive flooding spawned by severe tropical storm Paeng.

Based on the Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) latest monitoring report, 13 bridges in Cagayan, eight in Isabela, two in Nueva Vizcaya, five in Quirino province, and four in Santiago City, Isabela were rendered impassable as flood water overflowed during the height of Typhoon Paeng’s wrath.
The affected bridges in Cagayan were identified as Pinacanauan Bridge in Tuguegarao City; Natallag Bridge, Amulung-Cordova-Goran Overflow Bridge; and Anabuculan Bridge in Peñablanca; Bagunot Bridge, Taytay Bridge, Annayatan Bridge, Ibulo Bridge, Hacienda Bridge, and Taguing Bridge in Baggao; Bunagan Bridge, Tuao-Piat Ferry bridge, and Piat-Itawes Bridge in Enrile town.
In Isabela province, the following bridges were not passable: (Baculod overflow bridge-Brgy. Baculod, City of Ilagan, Isabela; Cansan Overflow bridge-Connecting Cabagan and Sto Tomas, Isabela- Brgy. Cansan, Cabagan, Isabela; Sta Maria-Cabagan Overflow bridge; Alicacao Overflow Bridge- Alicaocao, Cauayan City; Cabisera 8 Overflow Bridge-City of Ilagan, Isabela; Annafunan Overflow Bridge and Gucab Overflow Bridge-Echague, Isabela; Sinaoangan Norte and Masaya Sur Overflow Bridge-San Agustin, Isabela. All of these were affected by severe flooding.
In Nueva Vizcaya, the affected bridges were Munguia-Parai overflow bridge Bambang, Deculiat and Balintugon overflow bridge Alfonso Castaneda.
In Quirino province, Manglad bridge in Maddela Quirino and Addalam Bridge in Dibibi Cabarroguis Quirino, Sitio Gacusan bridge Diffun Quirino, Sitio Bulan and Sto Tomas Bridge Saguday have been submerged under floodwater.
In Santiago City, the affected bridges were Sinili-Villa Gonzaga, Malini/Nabbuan, Abra, Ambalatungan.
