Rehearsals are underway for various OPM artists performing at the Wish Date 4 concert happening at The Theatre at Solaire on Nov. 6. The fourth installment of the concert series by Wish 107.5 and KDR Music House is set to showcase performances from various artists and actors, including singer and actress Kimberly Baluzo and the musical band Bradz.

Two weeks before the anticipated concert, where film, radio, and live music will fuse together once more, Baluzo and Sean Naval of Bradz sat down for a quick kumustahan of their rehearsals.

Naval shared that he and his brothers were nervous. “Hindi naman mawawala ‘yun, pero mas nauuna ngayon ang gratefulness,” he said. “Tingin ko marami-raming puyat ‘to, sunod-sunod na rehearsals, at maraming salabat.”

“Pahingi, Kuya Sean, ng salabat,” Baluzo jokingly said. She also shared her nervousness and excitement for the concert. “Kahit mahirap, ‘pag excited ka naman at gusto mo ‘yung ginagawa mo, nagagawan mo ng paraan.”

Baluzo also shared that pandemic changed her outlook on live performances. “Before, ‘pag maraming sunod-sunod (na projects), naramdaman ko na ‘yung pagod. Nung nagka-pandemic tapos bumalik na ulit ‘yung live shows, mas na-appreciate ko lalo ‘yung events and opportunities na dumadating.”

When asked how it’s like to work with his brothers, JC and Chris, “Hindi masaya,” Naval joked without taking a beat. “Masaya, siyempre, kasi nababantayan ko sila at may mga good memories na na-te-treasure. Hindi maiiwasan ‘yung mga away kasi may mga differences din kami, pero sinisiguro namin na, with God’s help, magbabati-bati rin.”

When asked who he was most excited to work with, Naval joked, “Wala siya dito, but siguro si Miss Kim Baluzo. Gusto namin siya makatrabaho talaga.”

Baluzo, who was a performer and actress at the last Wish Date 3 concert last July 10 will be back on stage to showcase her talent. “I’m very excited na magperform kasama ang ibang artists, (tulad ni) Kuya Sean ng Bradz. Namiss ko sila, it’s been a long time since huli kaming magkakasama,” Baluzo said.

“Lagi akong excited kahit sino man ang makakasama ko. It’s a great privilege to work with fellow artists. ‘Yung makakuha ng lessons and experiences from them na alam kong makakatulong as I grow as an artist,” she added.

“Kung nasubaybayan nila ‘yung Wish Date 1 hanggang Wish Date 3, talagang maraming magsasabi na sulit na sulit ‘yung pagpanood nila,” Baluzo said.

“Siyempre, ‘pag galing KDR Music House and Wish 107.5, quality ‘yan,” Naval assured fans.
