Celebrities share the tales for us on screen, but what about their own personal haunting experiences?
With the Halloween spirit coming around the corner, these Hollywood stars also got the chills when it comes to ghost encounters.
From visiting haunted houses to getting unwanted visits from the movie set, these ghosts are not impressed. Here's are some celebrity ghost stories.
Lily Collins: "I discovered that 3 a.m. is the time when the veil between the realms is the thinnest and one can be visited."
It all began when she was woken up by flashes of images, like the aftermath of a struggle" every night while filming.
"I didn't feel scared. I felt supported. I felt like people were saying, 'We're here listening. We're here to support you. Thank you for telling the story," she added.
Lily believes that she received some support from the ghosts of Ted Bundy's victims while preparing to take on the role of the killer's ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer.
Kendall Jenner: "I don't know if I've ever seen one, but I've experienced some pretty ghosty situations."
According to the reality star and model, one of her ghosty situations happened when she was staying in Kris Jenner's house with her sister Kylie.
"In the house, my mom lives in, Kylie and I would always hear footsteps on the roof while no one was home," she said.
"Kylie's shower used to turn on all the time, and we never knew why. So yeah, I'm convinced it was a ghost," Kendall added.
Although it happened several times, Kendall is convinced that the ghost in their house at that time didn't mean any harm.
Oprah Winfrey: "I walk up in the middle of the night, and I saw a ghost in the room, and first I didn't want to believe that there was a ghost in the room but the next day, Akosua said to me that she was fighting this ghost in her room, and I screamed you pushed it down in my room."
According to the multi-awarded TV host, she saw an apparition move across the room and vanish into the wall.
It was her first ghost encounter after her co-star Akosua Bosnia stayed in her house in Chicago.
Keanu Reeves : "Renata, nanny, in the bedroom, my sister is asleep, she's sitting over there, I'm hanging out. There was a doorway, and all of a sudden this jacket comes waving through the doorway, this empty jacket — there's no body, there are no legs, it's just there. And then it disappears."
He may be young at that time, but the "John Wick" actor was convinced that it was true that he saw a ghost, after leaving their nanny in shock.
"I was a little kid, and I thought, 'Okay, that's interesting,' and I looked over at the nanny, and she was making this terrified face. And I'm like 'Oh wow, so that was real," Keanu added.
Lady Gaga: “She’s pretty terrified by this spirit but more than anything he’s annoying her as he won’t leave her alone."
Called by her fans the Mother Monster, Lady Gaga seems to be a little afraid when it comes to ghosts.
Back in 2010, when Lady Gaga was on tour one of her crew told news outlets that she was freaked out because a ghost named Ryan was following her.
It was also reported that Gaga bought $47,000 worth of ghost-finding pieces of equipment to get rid of the unwanted guest.
She may be the Mother Monster, but when it comes to spirits, Gaga is in favor of becoming a member of Ghosts Busters.
Ariana Grande: "I've had a ghost/demon experience. We were in Kansas City a few weeks ago and went to this haunted castle and we're so excited. The next night we wanted to go to Stull Cemetery, which is known as one of the seven gates to hell on Earth."
Upon entering the cemetery, Arian felt uneasy and signs began to haunt them.
"… I felt this sick, overwhelming feeling of negativity over the whole car, and we smelled sulfur, which is the sign of a demon, and there was a fly in the car randomly, which is another sign of a demon" she added.
Ariana continued, "I was like, 'This is scary, let's leave.' I rolled down the window before we left and said, 'We apologize. We didn't mean to disrupt your peace.' Then I took a picture, and there are three super distinct faces in the picture — they're faces of textbook demons."
Safe to say that the ghost during that time is not a fan of Ariana and her friends.
Miley Cyrus: "Before I felt this, I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching me take a shower, so I felt really freaked out."
Upon staying in a rented house in Europe, the unwanted guests started to bother Miley's family members including her mother, aunt, and little sister.
She added: "It was seriously so terrifying … I was having really crazy dreams and really scary things, and one night my little sister — it sounds crazy to tell you — but she was standing in the shower and all of a sudden, I hear her scream. I run in there, and the water had somehow flipped to hot, but it was still … It wasn't like the water had just changed, the knob had turned, but she hadn't turned it, and it was burning her. She was really red."
After the incident, Miley decided to move houses and continue her tour.
Demi Lovato: "My house in Texas is so ridiculously haunted. Not by a bad spirit, but a little girl. I think her name is Emily. I've had a medium come over and ghost hunters, and they both told me the same name, Emily. There were so many times that I saw her when I was growing up."
According to Demi, she believed that she had a strong connection with people in the afterlife.
She also added that she has the gift of getting a feeling of whether the place is haunted or not.
Salma Hayek : “They found like 20 ghosts,” said Salma, when a spirit questor visited her home and saw an “old lady and a child” spirit. There was also a nun ghost, she said.
It was Salma's daughter, Valentina who had the actual encounter with one of the 20 ghosts in their house.
“I get it the worst … I’ve seen the actual things, like the piano playing by itself and lights going on and off," said Valentina during the interview.
