Ethan Alvano drops 26 as Wonju takes fourth straight win


Former Alab Pilipinas guard Ethan Alvano is also starting to turn heads in the Korean Basketball League, dropping a season-best performance to steer his Wonju DB Promy to an 87-82 triumph over Jeonju KCC Egis on Saturday, Oct. 29.

More focused on orchestrating the offense for the Wonju in the first few games with 12.5 points and 6.5 assists per game, Alvano asserted himself more in the scoring department as he heated up for 26 points on top of four assists, a rebound and a steal.

Alvano’s effort kept the Wonju afloat against the repeated threats from Jeonju behind the efforts of Korean national team’s naturalized center Ricardo Ratcliffe (Ra Gun-ah) to roll to their fourth straight win after opening the season with a 0-2 start.

Wonju import Dewan Hernandez provided support to Alvano with 17 points and eight rebounds while Doo Kyung Min added 15 markers.

Ratcliffe paced Jeonju with a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds while Heo Ung finished with 27 points
