4 roads, 10 bridges impassable in Region 2

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office-2 reported on Saturday, Oct. 29, that four roads and 10 bridges are impassable in Cagayan Valley or Region 2 due to severe tropical storm “Paeng.”

These roads are the Gunnacao-Cataggaman Bypass Road, Bonifacio Extension-PNT-Teresita Ave.-Riverpark, Gamu-Roxas Road, and Keat-Guingin Road.

The 10 bridges are the Tuguegarao-Pinacanauan Bridge, Peñablanca-Natallag Bridge, Baculod Overflow Bridge, Cansan Overflow Bridge, Santa Maria-Cabagan Overflow Bridge, Alicacao Overflow Bridge, Cabisera 8 Overflow Bridge, Annafunan Overflow Bridge, Gucab Overflow Bridge, and Manglad Bridge.

One-hundred forty-nine families or 495 individuals were evacuated in Cagayan Valley as of Saturday.

There are 1,463 evacuation centers available in the region, of which four are occupied.

The city government said will conduct preemptive evacuation due to rising water level here in the next few hours.
