It's all about being in touch with one's emotions
This month of October, Maxene Magalona has been posting about what she has learned as she heals from her marriage that didn't work out. She has been sharing words of wisdom on how to move forward.
This time, she addresses her latest Instagram post dated Oct. 29 to the men. "This goes out to my brothers, guy friends and all the men out there—please stop suppressing your emotions. Feel them. Be with them. Don’t run away from them."

"I know it’s scary to feel uncomfortable feelings especially when they all come at once but this is why you need to go through this process with gentleness and kindness. It is okay not to be okay, and it is definitely okay to connect to your feminine energy and allow yourself to be soft," she reminds about being okay to embrace those feelings associated to being a woman.
She continues to explain how men have it harder in the sense that they have to remain strong no matter what, as society has been dictating for many centuries. "It’s time that we acknowledge that in society today, men are heavily pressured to stay strong by not showing any signs of weakness such as crying or being soft. Throw away the idea that to be strong means to deny vulnerability and emotions. Denying our pain is what makes us weak. Facing it and learning how to deal with it head on is what makes us strong."
She then moves on to telling her readers to appreciate the men in their lives and to stop putting pressure. "Let’s take a moment to celebrate the men in our lives and appreciate them for all their hard work. Please stop pressuring them into being “strong and perfect providers,” because this is a negative way to approach it. We need to create a safe and loving environment for them if we want them to truly thrive and succeed."
Lastly, she reiterates of finding the best version of yourself so that you can help the people around you be their best versions, too! "f you want your man to be the best version of himself, then you have to lead by example and work on becoming the best version of yourself. Stop nagging and belittling him. It all starts with you."
She ends the post by tagging the men in her life, "To my bruvs @nicfernando, @fmam, @elmomagalona and @barqboy, I send you my infinite love and gratitude. My heart beams with so much pride when I think of you and I thank God everyday for blessing my life with your special souls. I love you so, so much!"
