In a statement on Saturday, Oct. 29, the organization said that PRC Cotabato-Maguindanao Chapter has also set up welfare services desks and conducted hygiene promotion activities, psychosocial support programs, and psychological first-aid for Paeng victims.

These programs, PRC said, aim to help the people "cope and outlive the mental and physical trauma of flood and displacement."

The organization also said that its distribution of relief goods and rescue operations are still ongoing nationwide.

"PRC will continue the monitoring of water level and dissemination of weather updates," it added.

PRC stated that there are 170,977 families struggling with food availability, lack of clean drinking water, and were displaced due to torrential rains and flooding brought by Paeng.

"Ang ating mga water tankers, ambulance, at payloaders sa Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao ay nakahandang rumesponde sa mga nangangailangan (Our water tankers, ambulance, and payloaders in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are ready to respond to those in need)," PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon said.
