Man found dead off Cebu City waters

A man believed to be a victim of drowning was found floating in the vicinity waters of Mandaue, Cebu City on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Residents sighted the body of the man and reported it to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Central Cebu.

The PCG Station Central Cebu instructed the PCG Sub-Station Mandaue to proceed to the area where they verified the sighting.

Coast Guard responders retrieved the body with the help of City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) from Mandaue.

"Investigations continue to determine the identification and cause of death of the male cadaver," the PCG said.

The body was turned over to Mandaue CDRRMO for proper disposition.
