Cavite 8th district Rep. Aniela Tolentino, a vice chairperson of the House Committee on Youth and Sport Development, is currently in France, the host country for the quadrennial games.

In a Facebook post Saturday afternoon, Oct. 29, the neophyte lawmaker said that the preparations for the games are now in full swing.

"Big thank you to the International Olympic Committee for their warm hospitality and accommodations," she wrote.

Obviously, Filipino athletes will mostly rely on hard work and the quality of their training to beat the odds in the summer games, and Tolentino said Philippine officials would help them in that regard.

"We are looking forward to securing the best training venues for our Pinoy athletes #paris2024 #olympics," she said.

Team Philippines won one gold, two silvers, and one bronze medal during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, it's strongest showing ever.
