LTFRB advises bus operators to suspend RoRo trips at Batangas port

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) advised on Friday, Oct. 28, all bus operators to suspend their Roll on-Roll Off (RoRo) trips at the Batangas Port due to bad weather condition brought by tropical storm "Paeng".

In a statement, the LTFRB also urged commuters to wait for the weather to improve before they decide to travel to their respective provinces for the All Saints and All Souls Days, or Undas.

"Bus operators are instructed to attend to the needs of their passengers specially those who are already stranded in the ports," the LTFRB statement read.

"Passengers are also advised not to attempt to travel if the weather conditions are still bad," it added.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) last spotted tropical storm Paeng 155 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar or 245 km east-southeast of Catarman, Northern Samar.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised in Metro Manila, the southern portion of Aurora (Dingalan, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Baler), Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, the rest of Quezon including Pollilo Islands, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Islands, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and Calamian Islands.
