Several local government units (LGUs) in the country have announced on Friday, Oct. 28, the suspension of classes following the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA’s) declaration of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) due to severe tropical storm “Paeng.”

According to the Department of Education's (DepEd) Order No. 37, Series of 2022, both face-to-face and online classes in all levels for both public and private schools are automatically suspended once PAGASA raises Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) 1,2,3,4, or 5 in the LGUs where the schools are located.
