'Bakit nauna na naman:' Gov. Remulla teases Gov. Hernandez, suspends Cavite classes on Oct. 29
CAVITE – Gov. Jonvic Remulla announced the suspension of classes in Cavite on Saturday, Oct. 29, due to tropical storm “Paeng.”
The 2 p.m. forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) placed Cavite under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1.
Remulla, meanwhile, again ribbed Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez over suspending classes earlier.
Hernandez announced the suspension of classes in Laguna early morning on Oct. 28, with the province being under TCWS No. 1 in PAGASA's 5 a.m. bulletin.
"Grabe ka, BFF Ramil. Malinaw ang usapan: walang basagan nang trip. Bakit nauna na naman ang deklarasyon sa Laguna samantalang ambon pa lang ang dala ni Pareng #PaengPH?! (Best friend Ramil. Our agreement is clear: walang basagan nang trip. Why did you declare class suspension earlier in Laguna when Paeng has only brought drizzles so far)," Remulla joked in his Facebook post.
"Ako ngayon ang lumalabas na walang kusa para sa kabataan?! Samantalang ang totoo ay gusto ko lang naman na magkita sila ni crush, face-to-face (You make me look like someone without initiative in the eyes of the youth?! When the truth is, I only want them to see their crush face-to-face)."
Due to Cavite and Laguna's proximity to each other, students of the neighboring local government units often compare notes on class suspensions.
