P2.4-M marijuana destroyed in Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police destroyed marijuana valued at P2.4 million in Kibungan, this province, on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Col. Damian Olsim, Benguet Provincial Police Office chief, said 10,464 marijuana plants in 14 plantation sites valued at P2,092,800 were uprooted in Sitio Batangan, Sitio Napitak and Sitio Mocgao.

Lawmen also discovered 360 marijuana seedlings worth P14,400 and three kilograms of dried marijuana leaves valued at P360,000.

Police are conducting an investigation to identify the cultivators of the marijuana plants.
