Today, Zeus Emmanuel "Kidlat" Velasquez, the son of vloggers Lincoln "Cong TV" Velasquez and Viy Cortez is going to be welcomed to the Christian world.
Among his godfathers is actor-singer James Reid.
On his recent vlog, Cong shared how he was able to convince James.
He even show a bit of him practicing how to ask James about it.
He gained courage to do so during a break at their recent shoot for a commercial.
Cong asked James: "Can you be the father of my baby?"
He was quick to correct himself: "Ay ano, grandfather... godfather! I'm sorry. I'm nervous. Maybe you want to be the father?"
James, who was caught off guard, laughed out loud, particularly with Marlon "Junnie Boy" Velasquez interjecting: "Can you be the baby?"
A little later, Cong approached James anew.
He told him: "By the way, James, is that a yes? The godfather thing?"
James answered, "You mean, to be the godfather?"
Cong replied: "You don't have to attend the ceremony... So I could just... mapamalita ko lang sa amin na ninong ka."
James gamely retorted: "Okay, why not."
The vlogger then asked James to seal the deal with a secret handshake.
James quipped: "I don't wanna be the father."
