Henry Cavill will officially return as Superman in an upcoming DC film

After making a mid-credit cameo on "Black Adam," Henry Cavill has officially announced his return as Superman.
Cavill's last appearance as Superman was back in 2017 in the film "Justice League" with Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Ezra Miller. From there, Cavill did other roles like Geralt on the Netflix series "The Witcher," and Sherlock Holmes in the film Enola Holmes with Millie Bobby Brown.
He confirmed the news on his official Instagram page.
“I wanted to make it official — I am back as Superman,” Cavill said while thanking fans for their “patience” during the process.

He made his debut film as Superman in 2010 in the movie Man of Steel. In the following year, Cavill reprised his role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Synder's Justice League.
“A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends,” Cavill captioned. “The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded, he added.
Although his mid-credits cameo was denied during the past interview with Dwayne and the former DC-Executive Walter Hamada. In September 2022, Cavill filmed his part weeks before the “Black Adam” premiere after the deal was closed. (Carissa Alcantara)
