PRC releases results for October 2022 Certified Public Accountant licensure exam; UST grad secures top spot


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday, Oct 26, announced that 1,722 out of 6,665 examinees successfully passed the October 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam.

The date and venue of the oathtaking ceremony are yet to be announced by PRC.

Francis Matthew Nuñez Obligacion from the University of Santo Tomas is the board exam's top-notcher with an average of 91 percent, PRC advised.

He was followed by Kate Marie Uy Buencochillo from the University of Saint La Salle with a score of 90.67 percent.

There was no school that qualified to enter the exam's top-performing schools list.

The licensure exam was given by the Board of Accountancy in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, PRC said.

"On December 6 – 7, December 9, and December 12 – 15, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line," PRC noted.

The instructions for initial registration can be found on PRC's official website.

"Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals," the commission added.
