There was no damage reported in airports in the areas affected by the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Northern Luzon, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on Wednesday, Oct. 26, quoting initial assessment.
Area 1 Manager Mr. Ronald Estabillo said they have already conducted initial assessments after the tremor and found that there were no serious damage in Laoag Airport runway, buildings and structures.
But a a through assessment is ongoing and Estabillo said this was the reason why a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was issued for the Laoag Airport effective Oct. 26 until a.m. Oct. 27.
Other airports inspected also incurred no damage like the Vigan, Baguio Tuguegarao airports.
