Laguna LGU celebrates National Cooperative Month with coop leaders' forum
STA. CRUZ, Laguna – In celebration of National Cooperative Month, the provincial government held an Annual Cooperative Leaders' Forum at the Laguna Cultural Center on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The event was led by Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez, with Cooperative Development Authority Asec. Abad Santos and Regional Director Giovanni Platero as special guests.
During his speech, Hernandez emphasized the importance and advantages of forming cooperatives.
The governor also talked about how cooperatives help create jobs and produce successful entrepreneurs in a community, thus contributing to socio-economic development.
The event organized by the Laguna Provincial Cooperative Development Office was attended by around 400 cooperative leaders and members within the province.
