Boy, 11, dies in Lucena City fire

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – An 11-year-old boy died in a fire that hit their house on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at University Site Village, Barangay Ibabang Dupay, this city.

The Bureau of Fire Protection here said the fire at the house owned by his relative Teresa de Vera started at 9 p.m.

Firemen received information that a minor was missing and found the charred remains of the victim in a mopping up operation.

Arson investigators identified the victim as Alfredo Reniya III.

BFP has yet to determine the cause of the fire and the amount of damage.
