The Taguig local government said the city’s Covid-19 status is still at low risk amid the detection of new subvariant and variants in the Philippines.
According to the city government, from Oct. 16 to 22, 80 new Covid-19 cases, 313 recoveries and zero deaths were recorded.

Of the cases, 25 were admitted to Taguig hospitals including three severe cases but zero critical cases or 14.12 percent of the total 177 beds. The Covid-19 bed occupancy rate of 14.12 percent is equivalent to low utilization rate.
The city government added that the average daily attack rate (ADAR) per 100,000 is 2.88, classified as low. ADAR is the seven-day average of new cases per 100,000 people. An ADAR below six means low risk while six to 18 is moderate risk while above 18 is high risk.
“Low risk ang Lungsod ng Taguig dahil sa low ADAR na 2.88 at mataas na bilang ng mga kama sa mga ospital na bakante para sa Covid-19 patients (Taguig City is low risk due to low ADAR of 2.88 and the high number of beds in hospitals for Covid-19 patients that are vacant),” the city government said.
It reminded people to properly wear face masks and to isolate when they experience symptoms of Covid-19.
