Drug offender on probation caught selling shabu worth P523,000 in Bacolod
BACOLOD CITY - A high value individual (HVI) was arrested after he allegedly yielded 77 grams of shabu worth P523,000 during a buy-bust operation at Purok Tangigue, Barangay 1 here on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted the operation which resulted in the arrest of Joelibert Sancho, 31, of Barangay 1.
Lt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said that Sancho was arrested for illegal possession of drug paraphernalia in 2018 and was released nine months later through plea bargaining.
He is currently under probation, Mogato added.
Mogato said that Sancho was placed under surveillance for a week after they learned that he allegedly returned to the illegal drug trade.
Mogato said the seized illegal drugs were believed to be part of the P8.5 million worth of shabu that were confiscated from Sancho’s two friends who were also busted in Barangay 1 on Oct. 13.
The huge drug haul was believed to be intended as a supply for the recently concluded MassKara Festival here, he added.
Mogato said that the confiscated illegal drugs from Sancho reportedly came outside the province.
Drug charges are being readied against Sancho, who is detained at Police Station 2.
