Kairi, Coach Yeb power Onic Esports to MPL Indonesia title

Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol is now a champion.

The Filipino star jungler along with coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda finally lifted their first championship trophy after powering Onic Esports to 4-1 victory over defending champions RRQ Hoshi in the MPL Indonesia Season 10 Grand Finals on Sunday, Oct. 23.

Kairi, who was also adjudged as the regular season MVP, set the table for the rout after putting up a clean 6-0-5 KDA on his signature Ling.

RRQ managed to even the count in Game 2 behind the Savage from Deden “Clayy” Nurhasan on the Valentina to finish with an 8-0-10 line but that proved to be the first and last win in the series for the Kings of Kings.

Onic dominated the rest of the way and scored the last three victories to reclaim the crown it last won in Season 8.

Kairi definitely took Indonesia by storm as he also bagged the Finals MVP crown.

With the win, Kairi and Yeb will meet MPL Philippines M4 representatives in MPL S10 champion Blacklist International and runner-up ECHO when Indonesia hosts the World Championships in January.

In total, M4 will feature six Filipino coaches with Michael “Arcadia” Bocado of RRQ, John Michael “Zico” Dizon of Cambodia’s BurnXFlash and Steve “Dale” Vitug of Myanmar’s Falcon Esports also booking their tickets to the M4.
