Hospital staff gunned down in frat party in Batangas

BATANGAS CITY – A 42-year-old hospital staff was gunned down while attending a fraternity anniversary on Sunday night, Oct. 23, in this city.

The Batangas Police Provincial Office identified the victim as Delfin Gonday Jr., a resident of Barangay Kumintang here.

Police said the victim and the suspect, Felicimo Padilla of Barangay Sta. Rita, this city, were attending the anniversary of Batangas Varsitarian Fraternity and enjoying the night when Padilla suddenly drew a gun and shot Gonday at about 10 p.m.

Gonday sustained multiple bullet wounds and was taken to the Batangas Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Trina Regalado.

Police are investigating the incident and pursuing the suspect who fled on foot.
