Chery Tiggo seeks to extend its unbeaten run when it clashes with fancied Choco Mucho in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Another victory for the unstoppable Crossovers in their 2:30 p.m. confrontation with the Flying Titans would fan their winning streak to four games and reclaim the solo lead.
PLDT and F2 Logistics collide at 5:30 p.m. with both teams aiming to improve their respective 1-2 cards.
With Choco Mucho breathing down on its neck at 2-1, expect Chery Tiggo to work doubly hard in keeping their momentum going and protect their immaculate record.
At the forefront of the Crossovers’ charge would be the duo of Mylene Paat and import Jelena Cvijovic, who conspired for 37 points in their hard-earned 23-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 15-6 triumph over the Akari Chargers last Thursday, Oct. 20.
Chery Tiggo coach Clarence Esteban said sticking to their strategy would help them win their match quicker, while Paat, who has been anchoring the crew since Day 1, said it would still be up to them players.
“Maraming fini-feed sa aming advice yung mga coaches namin, pero kami pa rin ang tatrabaho sa court. Kasi once na ginusto naming manalo, gagalaw na lahat yan: body, mind, skills,” Paat said.
For Choco Mucho coach Oliver Almadro, whose team is also coming off a marathon 25-27, 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 17-15 win over PLDT five days back, teamwork is crucial.
“Small role, big role, but the important thing is they deliver. Small things adding up will make a big thing. Three sets, four sets, five... I really appreciate the teamwork of my players,” said Almadro.
Expected to go up against Paat and Cvijovic would be Odina Aliyeva and Kat Tolentino, who erupted for 30 and 16 points in their last game.
