Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao enjoys guesting on Korean TV show ‘Running Man’ 


Filipino boxing icon and former senator Manny Pacquiao had fun being a guest on the Korean TV show “Running Man.”

“Running Man” aired its latest episode on Oct. 23 with Pacquiao as the special guest.

Pacquiao went to South Korea to announce and promote his special boxing match with Korean YouTuber and martial artist D.K. Yoo that will happen in December.

“Running Man” is a variety show that premiered in 2010 and stars Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-hyo, Jee Seok-jin, Jeon So-min and Yang Se-chan.

“I’m excited and nice to see you again,” said Pacquiao about guesting on the show, which first aired in 2010.

During the show, Yoo Jae-suk wanted to confirm with Pacquiao if it was true that he called “Running Man” to be a guest on the show.

Pacquiao revealed that he really called to be a guest on the show as his family watches it.

“Yes sinabi ko na gustong sumali sa show. Kasi napapanood ng pamilya ko, ng mga anak ko (Yes I asked if I could be on the show. Because my family and children watch the show),” said Pacquiao.

Jee Seok-jin also said that his son went to the same school in the Philippines as Pacquiao’s children–Brent International School Manila.

“So I tried to find this photo of my child with Pacquiao that was taken back then. But I couldn’t seem to find it,” he said on the show that is available on Viu.

He added, “I even watched all his matches including the most recent one.”

Pacquiao and the “Running Man” stars had a friendly boxing match.

“Please give Manny Pacquiao a big hand. Thank you so much. We are all honored to meet him here today,” said Yoo Jae-suk.

Pacquiao said, “Thank you very much for this opportunity.”

Yoo Jae-suk told Pacquiao’s translator, “Please tell him we will see him when we go to the Philippines.

“We will have a concert ,” said Jee Seok-jin.

“He says he will take care of everything,” the translator told the Korean stars about Pacquiao’s offer.
