350 members renounce Anakpawis, pledge allegiance to gov't

CAMP MELCHOR F. DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – The military said 350 members of Anakpawis in Annafatan, Amulung, Cagayan pledged allegiance to the government on Friday, Oct. 21.

They burned the flags of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) after taking their oath of allegiance.

According to them, Anakpawis promised them land to till but failed to fulfill their vow.

They met the Department of Agrarian Reform and Department of Agriculture to discuss their issues and concerns.

The Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will help them in their reintegration.
