BANGUED, Abra – Thirty-three former drug users in Abra have completed their community-based rehabilitation program.
The 33 Persons Who Used Drugs voluntarily surrendered to authorities and were given a Certificate of Completion. They received livelihood assistance to help them start anew during their graduation on Friday, Oct. 21.
The Abra Police Provincial Office said the four-month CBRP was facilitated by the local government of Tineg, Abra led by Mayor Brethren Jireeh G. Crisologo and the Philippine National Police.
Present during the graduation were Col. Maly Cula, Abra police chief; Daisy A. Payang, DILG-Abra director; Victoria Palos, district medical officer; Pastor Jephti Ampado, representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and supporters of the rehabilitation program.
