3 Cagayan fishermen rewarded for surrendering bricks of cocaine

Three fishermen received cash reward from the provincial government of Cagayan for surrendering six kilos of cocaine they recovered while fishing in the sea of Abulug, Ballesteros, and Aparri, Cagayan from March 21 to 22, 2022.

They received the reward during the provincial government flag ceremony on Monday, Oct. 24, witnessed by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, National Bureau of Investigation, Maritime Group, and the Philippine Army.

Two fishermen received P125,000 while the third got P50,000 from Cagayan Gov. Manuel N. Mamba.

PDEA-Region 2 Director Joel Plaza thanked the provincial government for their support in their anti-illegal drugs programs, projects, and activities.
