Blacklist International succeeded in accomplishing its mission to reclaim the MPL Philippines crown in Season 10 but the rest of the team was giving a huge credit to jungler Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario who apparently made the call that completely changed the complexion of the game towards their favor.

With the Blacklist trailing, 2-1, in the Grand Finals series and struggling against Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera’s Valir and Jawhead picks, Wise suggested prioritizing the Benedetta pick of eventual Finals MVP Edward “Edward” Dapadap.

“For me, one of the biggest reason kung bakit kami naka-comeback ng Game 4 is yung isang bagay na si Wise lang yung nakakita. Even ako or yung ibang players even yung analysts and coaches namin di nakita yung bagay na iyon and yun yung sinabi ni Wise na i-high pick natin yung Benedetta,” said Blacklist skipper Jonmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna during the post-game presser.

OhmyV33nus revealed that they were actually dead set in prioritizing Wise’s heroes during the Finals before the jungler brought up the idea which worked to perfection in Game 4 as Edward slashed his way to an impressive 5-1-8 KDA while asserting Blacklist’s map presence all-game long.

It was then that Blacklist finally found its groove, winning the last two games with Edward still leading the charge for the now three-time MPL champions.

“Plano na talaga namin na kunin yung hero ni Wise pero yung time na iyon, iyon din sana yung plano namin pero bigla nalang sinabi ni Wise na i-high pick na lang natin yung hero ni Edward and then ako na yung magiging sacrifice and yung sacrifice na iyon yung isa sa mga importanteng bagay kung bakit kami nag champion ngayon,” she added.

Edward, who was the first to win the Finals MVP twice in MPL history, even believed that the veteran jungler was equally deserving of the plum.

“For me, MVP talaga si Wise e kasi siya yung nag-suggest ng Benedetta pick, na-execute ko lang naman. Ayun, nag tuluy-tuloy na,” said Edward.

Wise admitted that he felt overwhelmed hearing the praises from his teammates, especially that for his part, he just wanted to express his thoughts about the team’s situation.

“Syempre nakaka overwhelm kasi tinitingala ko talaga si V33, syempre ‘yung brilliant mind pagdating sa drafting. Triny ko lang iexpress yung nararamdaman ko kasi player din ako, nararamdaman ko yung sa mga hero tas inexpress ko tapos nag G naman sila,” said Wise.
