QC gov't deploys over 1k personnel to cemeteries for 'Undas 2022'
More than 1,000 personnel of the local government of Quezon City were deployed to seven cemeteries on Saturday, Oct. 22, for a safe and orderly commemoration of “Undas 2022” in the city.
The local government said the personnel deployed were from the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), Task Force for Transport and Traffic Management (TFTTM), Task Force Disiplina, QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and QC Barangay and Community Relations Department (BCRD), including members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
They are assigned to Himlayang Pilipino Memorial Park, Bagbag Cemetery, Holy Cross Memorial Park, Recuerdo Memorial Gardens in Payatas, Novaliches Cemetery, Manila North Cemetery, and San Juan Cemetery until Nov. 2, to ensure peace and order and to provide help like medical assistance to the visitors.
The local government said that the city’s guidelines for “Undas” will be posted on its Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the Malabon City government also posted on Facebook the schedule of the six private cemeteries in city from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, as well as its emergency hotline numbers: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=134309126025809&id=100083401661702
It said that pointed or bladed metals/weapons, firearms, firecrackers or explosives, illegal drugs, portable cooking stoves, liquor, and equipment/devices that produce loud noise are strictly prohibited inside the cemeteries.
The city government also reminded the visitors to observe physical distancing, wear face masks, bring alcohol and hand sanitizer, and get vaccinated against Covid-19 to protect themselves from the disease.
