Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano supported the launching of revitalized Kapulisan, Simbahan, Pamayanan (KASIMBAYANAN) program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday, Oct. 20.
The city police chief, Col. Byron Tabernilla, said the launching was held at the Community of Praise Church located at E. Rodriguez Extension, Pasay City.
Rubiano, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, expressed her full support to the program, saying its success would pave the way for a quiet and safer city.
Rubiano and Tabernilla led the signing of Memorandum of Understanding for KASIMBAYANAN, together with leaders of faith-based groups and peace advocates.
Tabernilla said the KASIMBAYANAN program is in line with the PNP’s peace and security framework dubbed “MKK=K” (Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran).
He said the police gratefully recognize the church and the community as partners in promoting peace and order in the community.
