Parañaque City gov’t creates task force, issues guidelines for 'Undas 2022'

The city government of Parañaque issued the guidelines to be observed in public and private cemeteries and created a security task force for a safer “Undas 2022.”

City Administrator Voltaire dela Cruz, who was tapped by Mayor Eric Olivarez to prepare the guidelines, said “Task Force Undas 2022” was created to ensure the security of the public during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

The task force is under the supervision of Col. Renato Ocampo of the Paranaque City Police.

He said members of the City Health Office (CHO) will also be deployed to assist people who may need medical attention, while the Traffic Management Office (TMO) will oversee the traffic situation.

The other members of the task force are the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO), the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP).

According to the memorandum of Olivarez, starting Oct. 29 to 30, the public will be allowed to visit the graves of their departed families and relatives from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Olivarez said public and private cemeteries will be opened for 24 hours starting on Oct. 31 to Nov. 1.

He said the city government will be implementing one entrance and one exit during the “Undas 2022”.
