Whoever bans Korean dramas in PH is Guanzon's 'enemy'

Banning Korean dramas or K-dramas in the Philippines will make P3PWD Party-list Rep. Rowena Guanzon your "enemy".

The outspoken and at times fiesty Guanzon made this declaration on her Twitter on Wednesday, Oct. 19, even as alleged talks of potentially prohibiting such popular programs swirled in the Senate.

"What? ban Korean telserye? Aba marami kayong kaaway dyan, pati ako (You'll make a lot of enemies there, including myself). The Extraordinary Atty Woo is my fave," tweeted the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.

The alleged proposal to ban K-dramas in the Philippines has been linked to Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who is a product of the local film industry.

Estrada has since clarified that he had no plans of banning K-dramas and that he merely wished the public and the government would support the Philippine entertainment industry more.
