QCPD arrests 14 most wanted persons


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Thursday, Oct. 20, the arrest of 14 individuals included in the list of most wanted persons in Metro Manila.

Lt. Col. Robert Amoranto, commander of Kamuning Police Station (PS 10), identified one of the arrested as Jeffrey Legarda, 40, listed as the police station’s No. 7 most wanted person.

He was nabbed at the Filmore St. Corner Casino St., Barangay Palanan, Makati City, at around 10 p.m. on Oct. 19.

Legarda, a resident of Brgy. Damayan Lagi, Quezon City, was arrested based on a warrant for violation of R.A. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, four counts of acts of lasciviousness and attempted rape.

Operatives of Cubao Police Station (PS 7) also arrested the station’s 10th most wanted person identified as Raul Pasagui, 56, on JP Rizal St. in Brgy. San Roque, Cubao, Quezon City at about 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 19.

The other wanted persons arrested were Joen Mark Timoteo Villaon, 28, and Ronnie Fabro Matibag, 47, for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; Aris Mendoza for acts of lasciviousness; Ryan Reyes, 39, for violation of RA 9165; Anne Serrano, 22, for violation of RA 9165; Jorge Melchor Boluso Reyes, 43, for violation of RA 9165; and Tetley Andrew Lacuna, 42, for theft.

Also apprehended were Dominic De Borja, 23, a resident of Brgy. Tala, Caloocan City for frustrated homicide; Arvin James Esguerra, 24, for violation of RA 9165; John Alex Manlapaz, for theft; and Romeo Torrena, 47, for attempted homicide.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) also took custody of a 17-year-old boy for qualified statutory rape.
