Marcos thanks Ormoc City supporters for boosting winning run
President Marcos could not help but recall his campaign sortie held in Ormoc when he visited the city on Thursday, Oct. 20, that he took the opportunity to thank the people for their support to his presidential bid.

Marcos opened his speech at the 75th Ormoc City Diamond Charter Day celebration by giving thanks for the support he gained from the city in the previous election, which he dominated.
He said entering the venue of the event felt familiar before realizing that it was where he staged one of his campaign sorties for the May 2022 elections.
Because the last time I was here in Ormoc, we did a rally here at the Superdome. And so, it is a must now that we're here to extend my gratitude to all of you for the support you have given me in the previous elections and I will never forget it)," he said.
The President admitted that when he learned that he can visit Ormoc City while he is in Leyte, he saw it as a chance to thank them personally.
He also assured them that under his presidency, he will continue to perform his duties in a bid to reciprocate the support he received from them.
"At kahit na marami tayong hinaharap na kahirapan, na mga challenge kung tawagin, ay hindi kami mapapagod (Despite the challenges we will face, we will not get tired)," Marcos said.
We will not stop working because I know that I have to give back to you and we will do this through our work and efforts to improve the Philippines and the lives of Filipinos)," he further said.
Marcos' attendance to the 75th Ormoc City Diamond Charter Day celebration was the third event he attended while he was in Visayas. Prior to this, he also graced the 78th Leyte Gulf Landings Anniversary in Palo, Leyte on the same day and the switch-on ceremony of the San Juanico Bridge Aesthetic Light and Sound Show Project in Samar on Wednesday night, Oct. 19.
