Man who shot minor in Tagaytay nabbed in Las Piñas

Authorities collared the security guard who fled after shooting a minor in Tagaytay City on Oct. 18.

In a hot pursuit operation, Tagaytay City Police Station (CPS) operatives arrested Leo C. Saratan at his brother's residence in Las Piñas City on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The suspect is under the custody of Tagaytay CPS and is facing a frustrated homicide charge.

The minor victim, on the other hand, is now in stable condition at General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital in Trece Martires City.

On the night of the crime, Saratan allegedly shot the male victim in the abdomen using a .38-caliber revolver.

The suspect was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime without a clear reason.
