JRU-San Sebastian matchup postponed anew

The 12 p.m. matchup between Jose Rizal University and San Sebastian on Friday, Oct. 21, was postponed anew due to health and safety protocols.

The NCAA announced the development Thursday evening, Oct. 20, in a statement signed by Season 97 Management Committee chairman Estefanio Boquiron, Jr.

A new schedule has yet to be announced while the second round showdown between Arellano and defending champion Letran will push through at 3 p.m.

The Heavy Bombers, who have a 5-2 record, were riding on a hot five-game win streak before two of their remaining matches in the first round were postponed and mixed up with the remainder of the season.

JRU, likewise, has yet to face league-leader College of St. Benilde and its first-round schedule was moved to Wednesday, Oct. 26.

This meant that the Bombers would have longer time to practice aside from more than two weeks of additional rest.
