Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Bianca Umali, and Ruru Madrid in GMA Regional TV’s Masskara Festival this Oct. 21

Kapusong Negrense have more reasons to smile this Friday (Oct. 21) as GMA Regional TV celebrates the return of Bacolod City’s world-famous MassKara Festival by bringing in Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Bianca Umali, and Ruru Madrid.

After two years since the pandemic, the MassKara Festival is finally back, and the four GMA Sparkle artists are all excited to be part of the grand festivities via a Kapuso Fans Day at SM City Bacolod this Friday at 5 PM.

Derrick and Elle, the lead stars of the GMA Afternoon Prime series ‘Return to Paradise,’ cannot wait to meet their fans.

“I always look forward to our shows in the regions. I am grateful that Elle and I will be part of the MassKara Festival this year to personally thank the viewers who have been supporting ‘Return to Paradise.’ We can’t wait to see you, mga Kapuso!” said Derrick, who plays Red in the series.

Elle, who portrays Eden in her first lead role in ‘Return to Paradise,’ also expressed her excitement: “I’m happy that we can see our fans in Bacolod and take part in MassKara Festival. We hope you will have fun with us this Friday.”

Meanwhile, there’s no running from the charm of Ruru Madrid as one of the cast members of the hit reality game show ‘Running Man Philippines’ joins this year’s MassKara Festival. Ruru is sure to treat his fans to a kilig afternoon as the Kapuso actor thanks them for their continued support of the show.

“On behalf of ‘Running Man Philippines,’ I would like to personally thank the fans of the show, especially our Kapuso viewers in Bacolod. I am excited to celebrate with you this year’s MassKara Festival,” says Ruru who also headlined the hit adventure-serye Lolong.

Fellow Sparkle GMA Artist Center artist Bianca Umali completes the line-up of Kapuso artists for this year’s MassKara Festival.

“It’s an honor to be part of the MassKara Festival. I am looking forward to seeing our Kapusong Negrense and celebrating with them the return of this colorful festival,” Bianca said. The ‘All-Out Sundays’ mainstay previously went to Aklan to grace the "Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Festival 2023 Opening Salvo" which drew thousands of attendees.

“GMA Network – thru GMA Regional TV – is more than happy to bring our Kapuso artists to Bacolod City to celebrate the return of MassKara Festival. Our festival’s theme, ‘Balik Yuhum’ which means ‘smile again’ is very fitting for the City of Smiles, Bacolod City, and the festival’s comeback after two years of hiatus. We take pride in Filipinos’ resilience to ‘smile again’ after going through challenging times because of the pandemic. We hope that our Kapuso in the regions will enjoy the Kapuso Fans Day we prepared for them,” said GMA Regional TV and Synergy First Vice President and Head Oliver Victor Amoroso.
