DPWH completes farm-to-market road in Pangasinan

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Pangasinan Third District Engineering Office has completed a 3.4-kilometer farm-to-market road in Rosales, Pangasinan.

The road cuts travel time for commuters and residents from Barangay Bakit-Bakit in Rosales to Barangay San Miguel in Balungao, Pangasinan from 25 minutes to 10 minutes.

The project was an initiative of then Pangasinan Rep. Tyrone D. Agabas.

Agabas said farmers now have better access in delivering agricultural products like rice and corn to the market with the road.

Farmers may also use the road to bring equipment to their farmlands in a wider and easier way.

The DPWH said that the road has significantly improved the mobility of people from remote areas.

The road is illuminated by 42 solar light emitting diode (LED) lights.
